Tension's are getting more tense, Filipino's stage a huge protest in New York at the 42nd street Chinese Consulate. A Chinese TV reporter had said " China own's the Philippines" . That comment has infuriated Filipino's in the U.S. , Philippines, and around the world. Some Filipino's wonder if peace talk's will amount to anything, as they feel now China is belittling them.Some Filipino's now are saying let's just have a China vs. Philippine war, becuase they feel China no longer respects the Philippines. This comes after the U.S. brought another nuclear warship into the south china sea , where the Chinese government has a small army of 5 battleships and 10 support defense ships in the area. Tension's rising are all pointing to a China vs. Philippines war, a war that nobody really wants to sea happen.
China now claims all of the territory in the South China Sea not just the Philippines property. Malaysia,Taiwan,Indonesia, and Brunei also have property that China is now claiming. Philippines decided to stand up to China and dispute the territories. Filipino people know this can end up in a Philippine vs. China war , but feel they must protect thier territory and economy. Remember a large part of Philippines economy is fishing, which is in danger if China claims Filipino fishing territory.
